Tall Tales Time

A story based on the Twelve Domains Map Exclusive on MajorCommand.com By KungFuDuet and Magerapstar

Prologue – Freeze "The brightest light casts the darkest shadow." The blood-colored moon was peeking - he knew it was. People say the red face in the sky is the guardian of light during the night, but he could not care less. The shadow of the Draig Tower was cast upon where he was, hiding him from direct sight, and light. Indeed being at Shadow Point was perfect for the occasion. He arrived at a stone table that he had prepared two days earlier, and uncovered a book which was concealed under a stone stool. A demonic grin crept across his face. "I shall be the most powerful man tonight, and everyone shall bow to me." He paused to savor the silence. Then, very slowly he opened the book to the last page - "The Summons". "Mark these words, Eurozik. I, who possess the Key of Darkness, am summoning you, the Master of Darkness, to grant me your assistance. Let my dark desires be the spark, any power the flame..." Abruptly, he halted. He knew he wasn't alone. "Your interruption is insignificant." He said to his unknown foe. "Quit your witchery, foul man. In the name of the Agon-dray Elites, you are under arrest." The foe replied, and lit up a torch. A figure emerged from the gloom. "I was expecting a person of more... might." He mocked, as he reached for his staff after scanning the face that invaded his occasion. "Your underestimation of my abilities shall be your downfall." She answered, and waved her chain whip out from her backpack. He hooked his finger, beckoning her forward with contempt. She strikes, swinging her whip in a slashing motion. He moved the staff in defense. The two weapons clashed, generating sparks. He stirred the staff upwards and sent the whip sideways, trying to force her to lose control of the whip. Yet as a well trained Elite of Agon-dray, she knew exactly what she needed to do. She dodged out the way of an incoming attack from the staff as she drew her whip back with momentum, and in a parabolic motion she maneuvered the handle and the whip into an overhead smash. Within a flash, the whip tore open the foul man's neck and back, causing him to release a loud cry. "Give up; your evil deeds shall never overcome the good." She said to the half conscious man, tying him up tightly. He didn't answer, he only recited, "and may that fire sear through this land. So come to me now, Darkness." She knew something was wrong. But she realized it a little too late. A gust of wind rushed past as a shadow crashed through the silence. She could only feel emptiness sucking on her mind, and at an increasing rate, that outward tension made her fall down onto her knees, pulling every breath out of her. Her blood started to freeze, and then, with her last senses, she witnessed this: The foul man had stood unharmed and free of rope with a giant shadow beside him, and said, "She shall be useful, sweep nothing but her goodness away, and let her fulfill her dark destiny." Her soul vanished into oblivion.
